New Experiences In North Carolina's Oldest Town.
North Carolina's oldest town, the village of Bath is a short drive from Norfleet Point. Established in 1705, much of Bath's rich past is alive and well today. Bath is a small community with a lot of historical heritage. Many of the oldest buildings in North Carolina including the state's oldest church, oldest library and the former home of Blackbeard the pirate, still stand. The North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources operates the Historic Bath Visitor Center and offers guided tours of notable houses in town.
