One With Water .
Life in Belhaven has always revolved around the water—and it still does. Belhaven's waterfront is a welcome sight for sailboats and yachts emerging from Alligator Alley on the Intracoastal Waterway. Visible from Norfleet Point almost two miles across wide water, Belhaven is a town that literally grew out of the river. City streets, marinas and grand homes such as River Forest Manor crowd the Pungo's banks. Its name means "beautiful harbor." One visit, and you'll understand why.
